As pioneers of the overlanding lifestyle in the Philippines, Mototesto is a family-owned lifestyle company that primarily aims to promote the off-road lifestyle while specializing in the import, modification and setup of 4X4 vehicles. On the surface, the lifestyle company is easily mistaken for a 4×4 vehicle shop that endorses products that the owners themselves use. However, Mototesto is predominantly an avenue for overland enthusiasts to go on extended off-road and overland expeditions. Founded by overlanding enthusiast Tim Tuazon, Mototesto initially found its roots as a family hobby before it eventually evolved into a business venture. Back in the day, companies that specialized in 4×4 vehicles were scarce which compelled the family to service their off-road vehicles themselves.

As a result, relatives and friends were intrigued considering that more and more people were looking for more capable vehicles after the country was continuously beset by typhoons (especially Ondoy) and floods in 2009. Soon after, news about their unique lifestyle soon spread by word of mouth and through social media. With the family’s distinct penchant for the outdoors coupled with their love for the overlanding lifestyle and cars,  Mototesto, a combination of the words Motor Sports and Testosterone, was born. 

Apart from being an overland lifestyle company, Mototesto markets and distributes products that are curated and tested by the owners themselves. They also offer a complete turnkey solution for building an overland tour–from an overnighter sight up to a month-long expedition. By showcasing some of the world’s best overland and camping products, Mototesto promises only premier and high-grade items which they themselves use.

Mototesto promotes the overlanding lifestyle by being the only lifestyle company to organize overlanding activities. By introducing the unique off- road lifestyle to the Philippines, Mototesto envisions to make more people appreciative of the country’s local terrain and sights. Today, as it continues to explore some of the country’s most remote places, Mototesto hopes to inspire others to join the overlanding lifestyle and create their very own experiences and adventures.
